FRQ

What does FRQ stand for?

Frequently Raised Queries.

Oh, so it’s just an FAQ?

A what?

Do people really contact you from this website frequently enough, and with the same questions, that you need a designated page to preemptively answer those questions?

Yes, and oddly enough this is the question I most commonly get asked.

How do I navigate this website?

A lot of people use GPS these days, but I like to challenge myself by using verbal directions based on local landmarks. I’ve found clicking helps as well.

What is your favorite interrogative adverb?

No it isn’t.

Do you like me?

Definitely! It’s always fun to spend time with you, what’s not to like?

No, but I mean, do you like like me?

What? No, definitely not. I mean, unless you like me, in which case…

How was the Moon formed?

The leading theory is the Giant Impact Hypothesis, which posits that a Mars-sized impactor struck Earth while it was still forming, sending some proto-Earth material into space. This material combined with the impactor to form what became the Moon.

Genesis 1 posits that God made two “great lights,” one to govern the day and one to govern the night. However, the Moon comes out during the day half the time, so either the original great night light retired a while ago or the Moon is really bad at showing up to work on time.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?

I legitimately tried this for myself during a road trip once in fourth grade. I think it took me around 740 licks.

Will you update this page as more people email you with questions?

Sure! Sounds fun.
